About — THE ESSENCE OF CONTRAST

My name is Oliver Brancov, I live in Seattle and I like to make my unique brand of art.

I started doing artwork as an outlet to help express how I view the world. The goal is to capture contrast in its truest sense.

My work is deeply personal and has themes from every aspect of my life. Almost all elements of my drawings come from deliberate lines and shapes, laid on paper with intention — or made to have intention after an impulsive touch. Although I never know what the works will look like at completion, I let the chaos of my lines form shapes that end up forming meaning.

Contrast is the most beautiful thing in the world, it helps us distinguish between the dull, the bright, the ugly, and the pretty. The ultimate target is to discover the proper medium to show contrast like its never been shown before. A contrast so stark that a picture cannot do it justice, a contrast that has to be seen with your own eyes.
